Happy Thanksgiving!

I am now going go downstairs and make an apple cranberry pie. I need the kitchen to myself for at least 1 1/2 hours and this is the only time I'll be able to get in there before the house becomes chaos. Wish me luck...

The pie was really good. I should have taken a photo - it's almost gone now. Today I'm going to try a chocolate chip coffee cake that I saw in Bon Appetit!

How did the pie turn out? I'd ask for the recipe but I know that I'd never attempt it. I'm afraid of the kitchen. I suffer from "perfection syndrome". If I can't do it perfectly and therefore I risk looking foolish, I don't even try. Sad, but true.
I lift my glass to all the chefs and bakers out there. I admire you and want you to be my friends always. Or at the very least, point me towards some good caterers! =:0
