And now for a little shameless self-promotion …
After two years of blood, sweat, prayers and tears, my show has finally opened at The Wadsworth Atheneum! Double Exposure: African Americans Before and Behind the Camera will be on view till June 18th. Many thanks to the Amistad Center for inviting me to curate this show.

Hartford on my mind ...
I’m back in LA (and will be working Photo LA for the rest of this week) but I’m still thawing out from my 8 days in Hartford… BTW the Wadsworth has a #*&@ load of Sol Lewitt. I do like this one in the staircase, but day-um, they could probably give someone else the treatment now. Nice to see so much photo there and the new Matrix show is pretty cool.

Things to do in Hartford when you're ...
dead(tired):
Walk back to the hotel and fall face first onto your bed.
or on a Friday afternoon after work:
Walk down main street and celebrate the end of installation week w/the exhibit team.
or when it's raining:
uh, yea, the pillow again.
Of course, if I were really interested in the sites and sounds of Hartford I would have gone to the Mark Twain museum, checked out Real Art Ways or gone to hear Aaron Neville last night. But after 5 straight days of installation (w/ plenty of museum drama) I'm just too damn tired. Plus, it's cold and now it's raining. So, bleh. I am reveling in the comforts of my FREE hotel room.

Or maybe it’s because you never post!
I have been totally remiss in my kittening lately but I’m getting back on track this week while I’m in … wait for it…. Hartford, Connecticut!
That’s right kids, all week kitty will be kickin’ it on the right coast. I’ll be spending my days installing an exhibition at the Wadsworth Atheneum (in beautiful downtown Hartford) and will most likely spend my nights sitting in my convention center adjacent hotel room, watching pay-per-view. So if I can’t manage at least one post a day, there is no hope for me in this blogosphere.

Wyse Gal’s blog. I haven’t watched SNL in about 100 years but this clip had me laughing my ass off. “Chronic-les of Narnia” is the mad note, dog!
